There is no secure way of renting items in this game. Because of the way items are tracked in our database, we cannot provide that functionality. There are several ways to conduct secure transactions, but none of them allow for rentals. If you rent out anything in your inventory, assume that it will not be returned. It might be, but there’s no guarantee. If you rent an item for collateral, make sure you don’t mind having the collateral instead of what you rented.

Jick and Skullhead will not track down items if you lose them in a rental agreement. Such agreements are between two players and are not condoned by the staff. Or the crossbow.
